European peer-to-peer lending marketplace Bondora has reported €15,489,470 (£13,253,702) worth of loan originations in March.
The monthly loan originations were up by 12.3 per cent compared to February, when the total was €13,789,269 – but both months were down on January’s €15,757,555.
Lending in the Netherlands saw a 131 per cent growth rate, up from €924,664 in February to €2,134,180 in March.

Finland remained the market with the most loan originations and was responsible for 67.19 per cent in March. Estonia contributed 18.93 per cent, while Latvia – which only launched in December – was responsible for 0.1 per cent.
Latvia was the fifth market for the Estonia-headquartered firm, which operates in its domestic market, Finland, Spain and the Netherlands, where it launched in 2022.
Bondora also reported 2,077 new investors in March, alongside its highest-ever monthly investment amount.
The firm saw investment of €31,660,730 across the month, thanks to higher monthly Go & Grow investment limits that had been temporarily raised to celebrate the marketplace’s sixteenth birthday. The campaign ended on 21 March.
