BNP Paribas introduces Tap to Pay on iPhone, enabling French retail customers to  accept in-person contactless payments using Apple’s technology, offering compatibility with CB, Visa and Mastercard.

Tap to Pay on iPhone enables acceptance of various contactless payments, encompassing credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, and other digital wallets, solely through the Axepta BNP Paribas app on an iPhone, eliminating the need for additional hardware or payment terminals.

During checkout, employees prompt customers to hold their contactless credit or debit card, iPhone, Apple Watch, or other digital wallet near the employee’s iPhone, securely completing the payment process.

With BNP Paribas, Tap to Pay on iPhone is compatible with CB, a scheme that accounts for more than 65 per cent of daily consumer payments in France, as well as Visa and Mastercard.
