PeerBerry has reported that its originator Aventus Finance saw an 80 per cent year-on-year rise in profit last year and a 60 per cent increase in lending volumes.
The European peer-to-peer lending marketplace said that the Moldovan company posted a profit of €563,135 (£488,728) in 2022 and issued €15.5m in loans.
“As of today, the total Moldovan partner’s loan portfolio amounts to €9m,” PeerBerry said in a blog post on its website. “Moldovan loans account for about seven per cent or €6.88m in the PeerBerry outstanding portfolio.”

Aventus Finance offers short-term and long-term loans on the PeerBerry platform. The company represents two brands in Moldova – Credit 7 for short-term loans and Credit 365 for long-term loans.
Aventus Finance is part of Aventus Group, which launched in Moldova in 2017.
PeerBerry’s update on Aventus Finance follows an update on its Polish originators.
PeerBerry said that its business partners in Poland made €11m in audited net profit in 2022, a 51 per cent increase from 2021.
Polish companies partnering with PeerBerry in 2022 issued €134.5m in loans – 40 per cent more than in 2021.
Earlier this month, PeerBerry itself reported a 160 per cent year-on-year rise in profits to €663,455 in 2022, during what it called “a year of invaluable experience” due to the war in Ukraine.
It also reported 19 per cent growth in its loan portfolio to €101.18m by the end of 2022.
